- Bitget recently expanded its partnership with the ESN Luzern student organization in Switzerland.
- The collaboration enabled the conduct of a series of educational and immersive Web3 events to scout and mold the next leaders of the digital assets sector.
Bitget, one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, continues to make big moves within the digital asset space. Recently, it announced a strategic partnership with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Luzern, a local chapter of the ESN volunteer student organization in Switzerland, for its information drive. The goal of which is to spread awareness and knowledge of Web3 technologies to forge the new generation of digital asset leaders.
The Bitget and ESN Luzern Collaboration
In line with the new collaboration, Bitget and ESN held a “Game Night” event at the Gameorama Spielmuseum in Luzern on September 8 to 9. Over 100 students participated in the affair to get first-hand exposure to the foundations of blockchain in an engaging manner.
Participants and organizers spanned from the University of Lucerne, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and PH Luzern. The occasion started with an educational session to lecture the attendees about the essential pillars of cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance (DeFi). Then, Bitget and its partners capped it off with gaming sessions incorporating VR games, card games, board games, and classic arcade games.
Going Beyond the Theoretical Approach
Vugar Usi Zade, COO of Bitget, explained that their program is different because it does not simply delve on theories. Instead, it tackles the practical applications of blockchain technology. Hence, they have integrated engaging activities for students to get a better feel of the industry.
“Most programs simply teach theory; we are focused on closing the practicality gap,” said Zade. “This collaboration isn’t just about lectures on smart contracts; it’s about giving students hands-on workshops, simulated trading experiences, and direct access to industry professionals.”
“We’re not just creating informed users; we’re cultivating future developers, entrepreneurs, and leaders who can leverage decentralized technology to create meaningful change,” he added.
Meanwhile, Tom Haak, President of ESN Luzern, emphasized how their partnership with Bitget will prepare students for the next evolution of finance through practical lectures and training. He also highlighted how the event aligns with their mission of promoting education and inclusion.
“Our mission at ESN is to support students, and a key part of that is equipping them with the knowledge and skills they’ll need for the future,” Haak remarked. “This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to education and inclusion, providing a great opportunity for students to learn about Web3 technologies in a practical and accessible way.”
Future Plans
Bitget and ESN look forward to continuing their collaboration with the conduct of the “DeFi 2.0 & The Rise of Real-World Assets” event at the HSLU Informatik & Wirtschaft. The planned event builds on the initiative in Lucern and proceeds by taking students on a journey to more advanced topics, such as Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization, cross-chain DeFi protocols, and advanced yield strategies.
Furthermore, it explores the regulatory landscape of Switzerland to help budding entrepreneurs navigate their way to compliance with existing standards and laws.
